Hello, I'm a s/w developer from the UK, just starting out with dagster. Learning to use it in refactoring a rats-nest of legacy ETL scripts into something less 1990s ! (Literally in our case 😱). Refreshing to have a modern orchestration tool in dagster and great that it puts the data to the fore, though it seems rather opinionated at times. May need to call on you all when the learning curve gets too steep and who knows ? I might even have something helpful to contribute eventually.

I'm Greg Whittier, a data scientist developing processing pipelines (including ML model development) for remote sensing data (think numpy/xarray arrays) for both onboard and post (batch) processing. Was moving from scripts with python multiprocessing for parallelism to defining DAGs in dask when I was seduced by dagster . Trying to figure out where, if anywhere, dagster can play a role.
