I like this a lot though. The conceptual boundary between these two abstractions has been difficult for me to understand, or explain to new users

I like this as well! Funnily enough in our internal ml pipeline library we actually use graphs and nodes and so I've spent the last couple weeks creating pipeline and solid factories to convert our graphs to dagster pipelines!
