That wasn't my experience just now on AWS/EKS/Fargate. The pods still appeared in the nodes list and it appears in the cost explorer that there was more cost for "Fargate-vCPU-Hours" than expected. I'll be able to confirm in 24 hours or so if the cost goes back down after cleaning up the jobs.
