it'd be kind of nice to be able to collapse the jobs list on the left side of the dagit UI on demand

Hey Zach! Could your clarify what you mean by collapse the list? Are you hoping to be able to hide/show certain jobs there?

just hiding the whole job list would be nice for when you're working in the launchpad or looking at a graph overview and need more horizontal window width. after widening a window the job list will pop out automatically and it might be kind of nice to hide that. I guess now that I'm playing with the window widths more I'm noticing it seems to automatically hide the jobs list when the launchpad text or overview graph gets squished horizontally, but I guess I still sometimes find the jobs list a bit distracting visually when I'm working on the launchpad and would like to be able to hide that whole left panel containing the jobs. definitely not a dire issue, just one humble non-designer's opinion on aesthetics. please let me know if that still doesn't quite make sense.

That makes a lot of sense and I think you're right that it can be distracting. In 0.14 we actually made a small change to collapse the sidebar on every page except for this exact scenario you pointed out. I think you make a strong case to just make the nav collapse-able everywhere. Thanks for the great feedback Zach!
