hi @0x Puff, anything specific about this setup that you don't like? You could probably tighten up this code by using requests instead of urllib (i.e.
data_json = requests.get(url).json()
), but otherwise it seems ok.

Thanks @owen, still trying to grok some conceptual stuff so it felt like there was too much code to just parse a local json file 🙂 Thanks for your tip, will tinker and refactor
