It seems that airbyte assets do not reflect the materializations that occur outside of dagster, inside of airbyte (manual or timer based). Is this expected or am I not configuring something properly for them to reflect what airbyte is doing?

This is expected, dagster only tracks the materializations it triggers. I’d recommend orchestrating/scheduling your syncs through dagster if you plan on using the integration
